Adjusting Brightness Manually
Generally, the brightness of the subject that is being shot is automatically
adjusted according to the reference values of the camera. However, the
brighter or darker areas of an image may appear unclear depending on the
shooting conditions. To prevent this from occurring, you can correct the
exposure manually.

Press the “AE ±” button.

The AE value appears on the screen, and the adjustment mode is
enabled.

Turn the “ADJ.” dial.

Turn upward to increase the value and make the image brighter.

Turn downward to decrease the value and make the image darker.

Press the “SET” button.

The manual setting value is set.
(The setting value (-2.0 to +2.0) is displayed on the screen.)

Settings can be adjusted separately for videos and still images.

Brightness, shutter speed and aperture cannot be manually set at the
same time.

Setting exposure compensation to Auto

Press the “AE ±” button several times until the AE value display
disappears.
Setting Backlight Compensation
You can correct the image when the subject appears too dark due to
backlight.

Tap “MENU”.

Tap “RECORD SETTING”. (Go to step 4.)
Alternatively, tap “BACKLIGHT COMP.” in the shortcut menu. (Go to
step 5.)

“ADVANCE” is designed to perform more effective backlight
compensation. Choose this when the backlight compensation is not
adjusted appropriately by “ON”.

After setting, the tele macro icon l appears.
Setting Details
OFF Backlight compensation is disabled.
ON Backlight compensation is enabled.
ADVANCE Should be selected for a better backlight
compensation effect.
Memo :
0
If the exposure compensation has been set manually, backlight
compensation cannot be used.
