Information for using Bluetooth® devices
• While driving, do not perform complicated operation such as dialing the numbers, using phone book, etc.
When you perform these operations, stop your car in a safe place.
• Some Bluetooth devices may not be connected to this unit depending on the Bluetooth version of the device.
• This unit may not work for some Bluetooth devices.
• Connecting condition may vary depending on circumstances around you.
• When the unit is turned off, the device is disconnected.
Bluetooth profile
This unit supports the following Bluetooth profiles;
• HFP (Hands-Free Profile) 1.5
• OPP (Object Push Profile) 1.1
• A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) 1.2
• AVRCP (Audio/Video Remote Control Profile) 1.3

BLUETOOTH OPERATIONS
Bluetooth is a short-range wireless radio
communication technology for the mobile device such
as mobile phones, portable PCs, and other devices. The
Bluetooth devices can be connected without cables and
communicate with each other.
• Refer to pages i and ii at the end of manual to
check the countries where may use the Bluetooth®
function.
Warning messages for Bluetooth operation
Connection
Error
The device is registered but the
connection has failed. Connect the
registered device. (KW-AVX830:
37/KW-AVX730: 46)
Error Try the operation again. If “Error”
appears again, check if the device
supports the function you have tried.

The unit is preparing to use the
Bluetooth function. If the message
does not disappear, turn off and turn
on the unit, then connect the device
again (or reset the unit).

• These icons indicate the phone type set on the
device.

: Other than above
• The phone type icon may not be shown
depending on the mobile phone (“Unknown” is
shown).
