Check or set TCP/IP address over Ethernet
NOTE This procedure requires that the Model 2701 is properly connected and configured
with the PC over and Ethernet connection. Make sure you can check the TCP/IP
address over the Ethernet before installing 2701 drivers or software.
1. Open the internal web page using IE 5.0 or greater (see Figure 3-2). Use the IP address
of 2701 as the web page address.
NOTE Netscape Navigator is not supported. Also, use of a Macintosh computer is not sup-
ported. The PC must be at least a Windows 98 compatible machine.
2. View settings or modify as desired. Make sure to accept the changes to apply them to
the unit.
3. Open the new address using Internet Explorer.
NOTE If you change the Subnet mask or Network ID over the Ethernet, the connection to
the PC will be lost. The PC’s configuration needs to be changed to match the new
configuration of the Model 2701.
