» If the coolant in the compensating tank is not at the required level, but the tank
is not empty:
Correct the coolant level in the compensating tank. ( p. 172)

Check the coolant level in the compensating tank

The coolant level must be between MIN and MAX.
» If there is no coolant in the compensating tank:
Check the cooling system for leaks.

Do not start up the motorcycle!
Add coolant/bleed the cooling system.

17.2 Correcting the coolant level in the compensating tank
Warning
Danger of scaldingDuring motorcycle operation, the coolant gets very hot and is under pressure.
Do not remove the radiator cap, radiator hoses or other cooling system components when the engine is hot. Allow the engine
and cooling system to cool down. In case of scalding, rinse immediately with lukewarm water.
