10.10Installing the fork protector x

– Position the fork protection on the left fork leg. Mount and tighten screws .
Guideline
Remaining screws, chassis M6 10 Nm (7.4 lbf ft)
– Position the fork protection on the right fork leg. Mount and tighten the screws.

Remaining screws, chassis M6 10 Nm (7.4 lbf ft)

Install the fork legs. x ( p. 33)
10.11Removing the lower triple clamp x

Remove the fork legs. x ( p. 32)
– Remove the start number plate. ( p. 37)
– Remove the front fender. ( p. 37)
– Remove the handlebar cushion.

– Remove screw .
– Remove screw .
– Take off the top triple clamp with the handlebar and set it aside.

Protect the motorcycle and its attachments against damage by covering
them.
Do not bend the cables and lines.

– Remove O-ring . Remove protective ring .
– Take out the lower triple clamp with the steering stem.
– Take out the upper steering head bearing.
10.12Installing the lower triple clamp x

– Clean the bearing and sealing elements, check for damage, and grease.
High viscosity grease ( p. 92)
– Insert the lower triple clamp with the steering stem. Mount the upper steering head
bearing.
– Check whether the top steering head seal is correctly positioned.
– Slide on protective ring and O-ring .
