Explain to your child the techniques of riding and falling, e.g. how shifting weight can influence han-
dling characteristics.

To give your child a feeling for the brake system, start by pushing your child. Do not start the engine
until your child is able to apply the necessary front brake pressure.
Your child should begin by riding to another person, who can help your child stop and turn.
– Erect obstacles for your child to navigate around so that your child becomes accustomed to handling the vehi-
cle.
– Your child should also try to ride as slowly as possible and in a standing position to get a better feeling for the
motorcycle.
– Your child should not ride on terrain that exceeds your child's capabilities and experience.
– Your child should hold the handlebar firmly with both hands and keep his or her feet on the footrests when
riding.
– Make sure the maximum permissible weight of the rider is not exceeded.
