– Clean and grease the wheel spindle.
Long-life grease ( p. 123)
– Position front wheel.
– Insert the wheel spindle.

Mount and tighten screw

– Position the brake caliper with the spacers.

– Position the brake line and the clamp. Mount and tighten
screws

– Operate the hand brake lever several times until the brake lin-
ings are seated correctly against the brake disc. Secure the
hand brake lever in the activated position.
The brake caliper straightens.

– Remove the locking piece of the hand brake lever.
– Remove the motorcycle from the lift stand. ( p. 44)
– Operate the front brake and compress the fork a few times
firmly.
The fork legs straighten.

Tighten screws

Screw, fork stub M8 15 Nm (11.1 lbf ft)
Finishing work
– Install front fender. ( p. 54)
– Install the start number plate. ( p. 53)
– Check that the wiring harness, throttle cables, and brake and
clutch lines can move freely and are routed correctly.
– Check the steering head bearing play. ( p. 52)
– Remove the motorcycle from the lift stand. ( p. 44)
– Position handlebar cushion and secure with a cable tie.
