Adjusting
Fan Belt Tension
A CAUTION
To avoid personal injury:
• Be sure to stop the engine and remove the key
before checking belt tension.

A deflection of between 7 to 9 mm
(1/4 to 3/8 in.) when the belt is
pressed in the middle of the span.
1. Stop the engine and remove the key.
2. Apply moderate thumb pressure to belt between
pulleys.
3. If tension is incorrect, loosen the alternator mounting
bolts and, using a lever placed between the alter~ator
and the engine block, pull the alternator out until the
deflection of the belt falls within acceptable limits.
4. Replace fan belt if it is damaged.

HST Neutral Spring (for Speed
Control Pedal)
AwARNING
To avoid personal injury:
• Do not operate if tractor moves on level ground
with foot off speed control pedal.
• If tractor moves on level ground with foot off
the pedal, or, if the pedal is too slow in
returning to neutral position when removing
the foot from the pedal, consult your local
KUBOTA Dealer.
The HST neutral spring located under the R.H. step can
adjust returning speed of speed control pedal.
Consult your loal KUBOTA Dealer for service.
