MAINTENANCE
Brake lever adjusters
There is an adjuster on each brake lever . Each adjuster has
four positions so that the released lever position can be ad-
justed to suit the rider's hands.
To adjust the distance of the lever from the handlebar grip,
push the lever 1 forward and turn the adjuster knob 2 to
align the number with the arrow mark 3 on the lever holder.
NOTE: The distance from the grip to the released lever is
at its closest at number 4 and the furthest away at num-
ber 1.

Brake fluid
Brake fluid level inspection
With the scooter in an upright position, check the front and
rear fluid level.
The level should be above the lower level mark. If the level is at
or below the lower level mark "L", check the brake pads for
wear (see page 66).
Worn brake pads should be replaced immediately. If the
pads are not worn, have your brake system inspected
for leaks. Do not ride your scooter unless the brakes
are in perfect working order.
NOTE: Other checks - make sure there are no fluid leaks.
Check for deterioration or cracks in the hoses and fittings.
Brake fluid type: DOT 4
(from a sealed container)
