WARNING Risk of injury when adjusting
vehicle settings while the vehicle is in
motion
You could lose control of the vehicle in the
following situations:
R
if you adjust the driver's seat, the head
restraints, the steering wheel or the mir‐
ror while the vehicle is in motion
R
if you fasten your seat belt while the vehi‐
cle is in motion
#
Before starting the vehicle's drive sys‐
tem: adjust the driver's seat, the head
restraints, the steering wheel or the
mirror and fasten your seat belt.
&
WARNING Risk of accident due to mis‐
judgement of distances when using the
outside mirror
The outside mirrors reflect objects on a
smaller scale. The objects in view are in fact
closer than they appear.
As a result, you may misjudge the distance
between you and the road user driving
behind you, e.g. when changing lanes.
#
Therefore, always look over your shoul‐
der in order to ensure that you are
aware of the actual distance between
you and the road users driving behind
you.
