The door will not open
Problem Cause and remedy
The door cannot be
opened during a pro-
gramme sequence.
The door is locked during a programme sequence.
Follow the instructions in “Changing the pro-
gramme sequence – Adding laundry”.
There is still water in the drum and the washer-dryer
is unable to drain.
Clean the drain filter and the drain pump as de-
scribed in “Opening the door in the event of a
blocked drain outlet and/or power cut”.
The water level in the drum is too high.
Cancel the programme. The washer-dryer will
pump the water away.
The door cannot be
opened at the end of
the programme or after
a programme cancella-
tion. Flashing bars
......... are
shown on the time dis-
play.
The door cannot be opened for safety reasons. The
temperature in the drum exceeds 55°C during wash-
ing or 70°C during drying.
Wait until the temperature in the drum has de-
creased and the door will be unlocked.
The door will not un-
lock. and alternate
on the time display.
The door lock has jammed.
Call the Miele Customer Service Department.
