Using the active A/V Network (cont.)
using the QUICK PROGRAM button
When you press QUICK PROGRAM to begin programming your
VCR:
• Active A/V Network will turn on your VCR and bring it to the
"Program to Record" screen. (If the VCR's clock has not been
set, you will see the "Set the clock" screen. See your VCR's
Owner's Guide for information about setting the clock.)
• Active A/V Network will turn on your TV (if it is off), and switch
the TV to EXT-1.
You can program your VCR by pointing your rem,_te control at the
TV.
When you press QUICK PROGRAM to end programming your
VCR:
• Active A/V Network will turn off your VCR (unless a tape is
currently playing or recording).
• Active A/V Network will return, your TV to r_he channel it was
on before, or turn it off (if it was off originally).
using the PLAY button (AUTO PLAY)
When you press PLAY on the remote:
• Active A/V Network will turn your VCR on and begin playing
the tape (if any).
• Active AIV Network will turn your TV on and switch it to EXT-1.
When you turn your TV off:
• Your VCR will turn off, unless, it is playing: or recording.

using the PIP button (TWO TUNER PIP)
You must be watching a broadcast channel oil ._tenna-A or An..
tenna-B to use the Active A/V Network PIP filnction correctly.
When you press the PIP button on the remote to bring up a PIP
image:
• Your VCR will automatically turn on.
• You can see the VCR's picture in the small PIP image.
While the PIP image is on the screen:
• The PIP function buttons (SOURCE, CHANNEL, ENTER, right]
left, adjust up/down, PAUSE) will all work in the same manner.
• The CHANNEL and number buttons (0-9) will automatically
control the small PIP image. You canno_; change channels on
the main image.
