1. While entering text, tap the &123 key on your on-screen keyboard.
2. Tap the desired symbol(s) or number(s).
3. To see additional symbols, tap the Right Arrow key.
4. To enter emoticons, tap the smiley face key.
5. Tap abcd to switch back to text entry.
Text entry mode
To change the text entry or predictive text mode, follow these steps:
1. From the Start screen, swipe left.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Tap keyboard.
4. If desired, tap add keyboards to add an additional keyboard language.
5. For the desired keyboard, tap Type to change.
6. Tap to select and the check box and enable or clear the check box and disable for the following
settings:
o Suggest text
o Highlight misspelled words
o Correct misspelled words
o Insert a space after selecting a suggestion
o Insert a period after double-tapping the SPACEBAR
o Capitalize the first letter of a sentence
7. Tap the Back key.
8. Tap Advanced.
9. Tap to adjust the desired advanced settings.
