4.5 Inspection of the power supply

Confirm that the ventilation grills are not covered with dust, that the lamp cover is attached, and that
the light source is turned ON.
WARNING
If auto ignition is active, turning ON the light source ignites the examination lamp
automatically. Do not look directly into the distal end of the endoscope or the output
socket of the light source when they are emitting light. Eye injury may result.
4.5 Inspection of the power supply
1 Confirm that the ventilation grills on the side and rear panels of the light source are
not covered with dust or other materials.
2 Confirm that the lamp cover is attached firmly.

NOTE
For safety reasons, incorrect attachment of the lamp cover prevents the light
source from being turned ON.
3 Press the power switch of the light source. (See Figure 4.3)
4 Confirm that the power indicator lights up. (See Figure 4.3)
5 Confirm that the emergency lamp indicator on the control panel is not ON or blinking.
(See Figure 4.3)
6 Confirm that air is exhausted by holding your hand in front of the ventilation grills on
the rear panel.
