Precautions for Correct UsePrecautions for Correct Use
• Follow the instructions in this manual to correctly perform installation.
• Do not operate or store the Controller in the following locations. Doing so may cause operation
to stop or incorrect operation.
• Locations subject to direct sunlight.
• Locations subject to temperatures or humidity outside the range specified in the specifica-
tions.
• Locations subject to condensation as the result of severe changes in temperature.
• Locations subject to corrosive or flammable gases.
• Locations subject to dirt, dust, salt, and metal powder.
• Locations subject to exposure to water, oil, or chemicals.
• Locations subject to shock or vibration.
• Take appropriate and sufficient countermeasures when installing systems in the following loca-
tions:
• Locations subject to strong, high-frequency noise.
• Locations subject to static electricity or other forms of noise.
• Locations subject to strong electromagnetic fields.
• Locations subject to possible exposure to radioactivity.
• Locations close to power supplies.
When the Controller is being installed in a cabinet or control panel, be sure to provide proper ambient
conditions as well as access for operation and maintenance.
Temperature Control
The ambient temperature within the enclosure must be within the operating range of 0 to 55C.
When necessary, take the following steps to maintain the proper temperature.
• Provide enough space for good air flow.
• Do not install the Controller directly above equipment that generates a large amount of heat such
as heaters, transformers, or high-capacity resistors.
• If the ambient temperature exceeds 55C, install a cooling fan or air conditioner.
