Fault finding
When the vehicle does not run properly, inspect and rectify as explained below:
HARD STARTING
Fuel system - carburation - ignition.
Lack of fuel: Turn to reserve and refill as soon as
possible.
Filter, jets, carburettor body clogged or dirty: Remove, wash in petrol and blow dry.
Starter control in «closed» position: Turn to proper position.
Porcelain of spark plug cracked: Check the spark plug or change.
Breaker points dirty, worn or pitted; gap
between breaker points incorrect: Consult your Dealer for eventual repairs.
Engine flooding: See page 15.
IRREGULAR RUNNING
1. - Lack of compression Check that sparking plug and cylinder
head are not loose.
2. - High consumption and lack of
power Starter valve in closed position
or sticking: Release the starter control lever and
lubricate.
Air filter chocked or dirty: Wash in neat petrol and blow dry.
DEFECTIVE ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT
Wire terminals disconnected or carelessly
connected: Re - connect.
Headlight beam incorrectly set: Adjust (see pag. 23).
Defective bulbs: See page 22 for substituting.
OTHER PROBLEMS
Consult your Service -Station.
If the suggested remedies are not sufficient in eliminating the trouble, consult your
Dealer.
