SPECIAL
PROCEDURES
Battery Information
If the watercraft battery is run down, it should be removed and charged.
See the maintenance section of this manual for battery charging recommenda-
tions, pages
67
to
70.
A weak battery can leave you stranded. Never operate the watercraft with a battery
that is very weak and may not start the engine on its own.
Transporting The Watercraft
Always turn the fuel valve off when transporting or storing the watercraft.
Tie the watercraft at the bow and stern
so it is firmly restrained on the trailer
and does not move. Use additional
cables if necessary. There should be
no movement between the watercraft
and trailer. Do not route ropes or tie
downs over the seat because they
could cause permanent damage to
the seat. Protect the watercraft body
from ropes by putting padding or
something similar between the rope
and body.
Make sure the seat is securely
latched.
Be sure the trailer matches the water-
craft's weight and design and that it
meets trailer laws and regulations
in
your area.
When transporting the watercraft it is
recommended that it be protected by
a Polaris watercraft cover.
