Maintaining Your Machine
If the exposure glass, exposure glass
cover or ADF white sheet is dirty, you
might not be able to make clear cop-
ies. Clean them if they are dirty.

❖ Cleaning the machine
Wipe the machine with a soft,
damp cloth. Then wipe it with a
dry cloth to remove the water.
Important
❒ Do not use chemical cleaners or or-
ganic solvents such as thinner or
benzene. They can get into the ma-
chine, melting plastic parts, caus-
ing a failure.
❒ Do not clean parts other than those
specified in this manual. Such
parts should be cleaned by your
service representative.
