About Zoom Assist Display
When the zoom assist display is on, you can
check the zooming area with the zoom assist
picture and the zooming area frame in the
lower right corner on the picture display.
This is useful when you frame the subject
quickly while zooming to telephoto.
Note -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The zooming area frame is displayed when you enlarge the image over 3.3
times (focal length: 93 mm (equivalent to 35 mm camera)).
The zoom assist picture is displayed in black and white.
Time required for focusing may be longer when the zoom assist display is on.
The zoom assist picture is not displayed when you use the macro mode or MF
magnification, when you shoot movies, and when the picture display dims with
the [LCD Auto Dim] function in the setup menu.
When [Cooking] or [Zoom Macro] is selected in scene mode, the zoom assist
display is not available.
