Names of Things and What They Do
SD card slot
Insert the SD card into this slot (p. 31).
DC IN jack
Connect the dedicated AC adaptor (sold
separately) here (p. 29).
You must switch off the R-05’s power before you
connect or disconnect the AC adaptor.
[POWER/HOLD] switch
Slide this switch toward POWER to turn the
power on/off (p. 26). With the power turned on,
you can set this switch to the right to enable the
HOLD function.
By turning HOLD on, you can prevent
inadvertent operation.
Buttons that can be operated even if the
HOLD switch is on
•[MIC GAIN] switch
[LIMITER] switch
[LOW CUT] switch
PHONES jack
You can connect headphones here (p. 37).
USB connector
Use the included USB cable to connect this to
your computer. This allows files recorded on the
R-05 to be transferred to your computer, or WAV
and MP3 files from your computer to be copied
to the R-05 for playback (p. 70).
