Test Mode
At the end of the Test Mode, be sure to execute a factory reset. Executing a
factory reset causes kit and phrase data in the unit to be lost. Back up user data
in advance.
Items Required
• Pad (CY-8, CY-5, PD-8, or PD-7) x 1
• Foot pedal (FD-8 or FD-7) x 1
• Foot switches (FS-5U) x 2
• Headphones x 1 set
• Monitor speakers x 2
• Signal generator or audio device (CD player, etc.) x 1
• Computer (running Windows XP)
• Stereo cables (used for connecting the pad and audio device) x 2
• Monaural cables (for connecting the monitor speakers) x 2
• Y-cable (PCS-31L; for connecting the FS-5U) x 1
• MIDI cable x 1
• USB cable x 1
• USB memory device x 1
• AC adaptor (PSB-1U) x 1
• Drum stick x 1
Entering the Test Mode
1. Hold down [QUICK] + [Button 3] + [STANDBY] and switch on the
power.
The Test Mode for service starts up.

* Verify that SERV is displayed at the top right of the screen. If SERV is not
displayed, the unit is not in the Test Mode for service. Start again.
Quitting the Test Mode
Press and hold down [POWER].
Skipping or Retrying Test Items
Jump to the next item: Hold down [QUICK] and press [SET LOOP/NEXT].
Jump to the previous item: Hold down [QUICK] and press [ERASE].
Retry the current item: Hold down [QUICK] and press [REC].
