3 Installation and connection
3.1 Installation
The RE3052/53 controller may be operated in any position.
On the back of the switchboard there should be enough free space for the assembly to be carried out.
The following jobs are to be done when installing the controller:
• Mark and cut out the switchboard cutout as in the following drawing.
• Insert the housing into the switchboard cutout from the front.
• Place a fastening element on top of the controller in such a way that it engages in one of the slots
on the housing. Tighten slightly with a screw driver.
• On the bottom of the controller, at a diagonal to the upper fastening element,
attach the second fastening element in the same way.
• Tighten both fastening elements until the housing sits firmly but without tension.
To achieve Protection Level IP65 between the controller and the switchboard it is necessary
to attach all four fastening elements.
