8.3.1.3 To Manage a Full Canister

Prepare to
switch to
an alternate
suction
source.
CANISTER
FULL – The
fluid volume
level is at
full capacity.
Fluid suction
has stopped
in the full
canister.
Three slow tones occur
continuously; FULL
WARNING drop-down
appears on the main
display; yellow SUCTION
STOPPED banner
appears on main display;
yellow FULL banner
appears on top display;
canister icon appears
yellow on both displays
(Figure 32).
If the 20-liter
canister can
receive the
contents of
the 4-liter
canister,
touch the
EMPTY 4L
CANISTER
button.
Switch to
an alternate
suction
source.
Dock the
rover to
dispose of
waste. See
Section 8.4.3
To Dock the
Rover.
NOTES:
A maximum of three EMPTY 4L CANISTER cycles
are allowed between docking cycles. The number of
EMPTY 4L CANISTER cycles remaining is shown on
the EMPTY 4L CANISTER dialog.
The fluid volume values shown on the top display
and main display will change after the EMPTY 4L
CANISTER action is complete.
Prefill fluid is added to the 4L canister after the
EMPTY 4L CANISTER action is complete. The sound
of the pump adding prefill fluid is normal.
The 4-liter and 20-liter canisters will return to their
previous suction limit ranges after the EMPTY 4L
CANISTER action is complete.
If the 20-liter canister has insufficient capacity to
receive the 4-liter canister fluid, an ERROR dialog will
appear indicating the rover will require shutdown and
docking to empty its full canisters.
