ranges. Operating
the
8 Sweep
in
a triggered mode provides
a more stable display, since
the
delayed display
is
triggered
at
the
same
point
each time.
1. Perform steps 1 through 6
of
the
preceding
Magnified Sweep Starts After Delay procedure.
2. Set
the
8 (DLY'D) TRIGGER SOURCE switch
to
the
same position
as
the
A TRIGGER SOURCE switch.
3. Adjust
the
8 LEVEL control so
the
intensified zone
on
the
trace
is
stable. (If an intensified zone
cannot
be obtained, see step 4).
4. Inability
to
intensify
the
desired portion indicates
that
the signal does
not
meet
the
triggering require-
ments.
If
the
condition
cannot
be remedied with
the
8 Sweep triggering controls or by increasing
the
display amplitude, you should lower
the
VOLTS/
DIV setting, set 8 (DLY'D) TRIGGER SOURCE
switch
to
EXT, and trigger
the
8 Sweep externally.
5. Measurements are made and magnification factors are
calculated
in
the
same manner described
in
the
Magnified Sweep Starts After Delay procedure.
