gle is the horizontal expansion point. When you
change the h orizontal Scale setting, the waveforms contract or expand
about this point. W hen delay i s off, the horizontal expansion point is the
same as the trigger poi
nt.
Delay Button
Push the Delay butt
on when you want to delay the acquisition relative to
the trigger event. Turn the horizontal Pos ition control counterclockw ise
to increase the delay; the trigger point moves to the left and ultimately
outside of the acq
uired waveform. Then, you can adjust the horizontal
Scale to acquire more detail around the area of interest (center of the
screen).
When delay is on, the trigger point separates from the horizontal
expansion point. The horizontal expansion point stays at t he center
of the screen
. The trigger point can move off the screen; when this
happens, the trigg er marker turns to point in the direction of the trigger
point.
