Appends not more than
count
characters from the string pointed to by
s2
to
the end of the string pointed to by
s1
. The null character terminating
s1
is
overwritten by the first character in
s2
. A terminating null character is
appended to the result.
Inputs:
s1 —
Character string.
s2
— Character string to append.
count
— Number of characters to append.
Outputs:
Returns the value of
s1.
Assumptions:
s1
points to a buffer large enough to hold the concatenated string. Since
strncat
appends a null character to the result, it may add
count
+ 1
characters to the string.
