4. Pull the latch outward, rotate the air-cleaner
cover counterclockwise, and remove the cover.
5. Before removing the filter, use low-pressure air
—275 kPa (40 psi), clean and dry—to help
remove large accumulations of debris packed
between outside of primary filter and the air-
cleaner housing.
IMPORTANT
Avoid using high-pressure air, which could force dirt through the filter into the intake
tract.

6. Remove the primary filter from the air-
cleaner housing
