Brake Maintenance
Adjusting the Service Brakes
Adjust the service brakes when there is more than 13 mm (1/2 inch) of free travel of the
brake pedal, or if the brakes slip. Free travel is the distance the brake pedal moves before
you feel braking-pedal resistance.
1. Prepare the machine for maintenance.
2. Disengage the pedal-locking latch between the brake pedals so that both pedals work
independently of each other.
