1.MovethethrottlelevertotheFASTposition.
2.Movetheraise/lowermowcontrolleverforward
momentarily.
Thecuttingunitsshouldlowerandallthereels
shouldrotate.
Note:Thefunctionlevershouldbeinthe
middle(mow)positionforthereelsrunwhen
loweringthecuttingunits
3.Movetheraise/lowermowcontrollever
rearward.
Thecuttingreelsshouldstoprotatingandthe
cuttingunitsshouldraisetothefulltransport
position.
4.Engagethebraketokeepthemachinefrom
moving,andoperatethetractionpedalthrough
theforwardandreversepositions.
5.Continuetheaboveprocedurefor1or2
minutes.Movethefunctional-controllevertothe
NEUTRALposition,engagetheparkingbrake,
andshutofftheengine.
6.Checkforuidleaksandtightenthehydraulic
ttingsifanyleaksarefound.
Note:Whenthemachineisnewandthe
bearingsandreelsaretight,itisnecessary
tousetheFASTthrottle-leverpositionforthis
check.Afastthrottlesettingmaynotberequired
afterthebreak-inperiod.
Note:Ifuidleakscontinuetoappear,contact
yourauthorizedT orodistributorforassistance
and,ifnecessary,replacementparts.
Important:Atraceofuidonthemotoror
wheelsealsisnormal.Sealsrequireasmall
amountoflubricationtoperformproperly.
ShuttingOfftheEngine
1.MovethethrottlelevertotheSLOWposition,pull
backtheraise/lowermowcontrol,andmovethe
functional-controllevertotheNEUTRALposition.
2.RotatetheignitionkeytotheOFFpositionto
shutofftheengine.Removethekeyfromthe
switchtopreventaccidentalstarting.
3.Closethefuelshut-offvalvebeforestoringthe
machine.
Checkingthe
Safety-InterlockSystem
ServiceInterval:Beforeeachuseordaily
CAUTION
Ifthesafetyinterlockswitchesare
disconnectedordamagedthemachinecould
operateunexpectedly,causingpersonal
injury.
•Donottamperwiththeinterlockswitches.
•Checktheoperationoftheinterlock
switchesdailyandreplaceanydamaged
switchesbeforeoperatingthemachine.
Thepurposeofthesafety-interlocksystemisto
preventoperationofthemachinewherethereis
possibleinjurytoyouordamagetothemachine.
Thesafety-interlocksystempreventstheenginefrom
startingunless:
•ThetractionpedalisintheNEUTRALposition.
•Thefunctional-controlleverisintheNEUTRAL
position.
Thesafety-interlocksystempreventsthemachine
frommovingunless:
•Theparkingbrakeisdisengaged.
•Youareseatedintheoperator'sseat.
•Thefunctional-controlleverisintheMOWposition
ortheTRANSPORTposition.
Thesafety-interlocksystempreventsthereelsfrom
operatingunlessthefunctional-controlleverisinthe
MOWposition.
CheckingtheTractionPedal
Performthefollowingsystemchecksdailytoensure
thattheinterlocksystemisoperatingcorrectly:
1.Sitontheseat,movethetractionpedaltothe
NEUTRALposition,movethefunctional-control
levertotheNEUTRALposition,andengagethe
parkingbrake.
2.Trytomovethetractionpedalforwardor
backward.
Thepedalshouldnotmove,whichindicates
thattheinterlocksystemisoperatingcorrectly.
Correcttheproblemifitisnotoperatingproperly.
CheckingtheFunctionControl
1.Sitontheseat,movethetractionpedaltothe
NEUTRALposition,movethefunctional-control
levertotheNEUTRALposition,andengagethe
parkingbrake.
