•Checktoseethatthelightsandhornareworking.
•Turnsteeringwheeltotheleftandrighttocheck
steeringresponse.
•Checkforoilleaks,loosepartsandanyother
noticeablemalfunctions.Makesureengineisoff
andallmovingpartshavestoppedbeforechecking
foroilleaks,loosepartsandothermalfunctions.
Ifanyoftheaboveitemsarenotcorrect,notifyyour
mechanicorcheckwithyoursupervisorbeforetaking
thevehicleoutfortheday.Yoursupervisormaywant
youtocheckotheritemsonadailybasis,soaskwhat
yourresponsibilitiesare.
StartingEngine
1.Sitonoperator’sseatandengageparkingbrake.
2.DisengagePTO(ifsoequipped)andreturnhand
throttlelevertoOFFposition(ifsoequipped).
3.MoveshiftlevertoNEUTRALpositionand
depressclutchpedal.
4.Makesurethehydraulicliftleverisinthecenter
position.
5.Keepfootoffacceleratorpedal.
•Inextremelycoldweather(below0degreesF)
–fullydepressandreleasetheacceleratorpedal
severaltimesbeforetryingtostartengine.
