MowerMaintenance
ServicingtheCuttingBlades
Maintainsharpandbalancedbladesthroughoutthecutting
season,becausesharpbladescutcleanlywithouttearingor
shreddingthegrassblades.Tearingandshreddingturnsgrass
brownattheedges,whichslowsgrowth,andincreasesthe
chanceofdisease.
Checkthecutterbladesdailyforsharpness,andforany
wearordamage.Filedownanynicksandsharpenthe
bladesasnecessary.Ifabladeisdamagedorworn,replace
itimmediatelywithagenuineTororeplacementblade.For
convenientsharpeningandreplacement,keepextrablades
onhand.
WARNING
Awornordamagedbladecanbreak,andapiece
ofthebladecouldbethrownatyouorbystanders,
resultinginseriouspersonalinjuryordeath.
•Inspectthebladeperiodicallyforwearor
damage.
•Replaceawornordamagedblade.
BeforeInspectingorServicingthe
Blades
Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,disengagethe
blade-controlswitch,engagetheparkingbrake,shutoffthe
engine,andremovethekey.
InspectingtheBlades
