3-2. Opening, closing and locking the doors
COASTER_GW-E
Push in the inside lock button to the lock position.
Close the passengers’ door.
Be careful not to lock your keys in the vehicle.
Automatic passengers’ door can be operated when
If the following conditions are met with the automatic passengers’ door opera-
tion enabled (P. 95), the automatic passengers’ door can be opened and
closed automatically.
When the engine switch is turned to the “ON” position, one of the following
conditions must be met in addition to the above condition:
The vehicle is stopped.
Automatic passengers’ door
A buzzer will briefly sound when the door starts opening or closing.
On vehicles for Hong Kong, the buzzer will keep on sounding while the door
is closing.
If the door does not lock when it is closed, try again with the engine running
and all other electrical components off.
If the passengers’ door control switch is released partway through the door
closing operation, the door will stop moving. After this the door may not
close completely, even if the switch is pressed to the “CLOSE” position
again. In that case, open the door fully and then attempt the close operation
again.
Passengers’ door closer
In the event that the passengers’ door is left slightly open, the passengers’
door closer will automatically close it to the fully closed position.
The passengers’ door closer will operate regardless of engine switch posi-
tion.
The passengers’ door closer may not function if the passengers’ door has
been closed while pulling the inside or outside passengers’ door handle.
This function will operate even if an automatic operation switch is off (auto-
matic operation disabled).
Even when the passengers’ door closer is operating, the door can be
opened by pulling the inside or outside passengers’ door handle.
Jam protection function
If any object obstructs the passengers’ door when opening or closing, the
passengers’ door will automatically move a little in the opposite direction and
then the function will stop.
