Installing the Power Supply Module
Installation of the power supply module must be performed by qualified personnel. Work must be
in conformance with this document and local codes.
Before mounting the power supply module:
• Ensure that the DIN rail has been installed in the mounting location.
• Ensure that the enclosure allows for the minimum 1.8 in. (4.6 cm) vent clearance around the top
and bottom of the power supply vents.
Follow these steps to mount the power supply module:
1. Perform the lockout/tagout procedures for line voltage power to the electrical cabinet.
2. Do not use excessive force. Excessive force could cause equipment damage.
3. Hook the power supply module DIN rail groove to the edge of the DIN rail closest to the IMC
pin connectors (
Figure 3).
4. Press down on the side of the power supply that holds the DIN rail latch. Press until you hear
the latch click.
5. Place a DIN rail end-stop at each end of the row of modules to prevent shifting.
NOTICE:
Avoid Equipment Damage!
Do not use excessive force. Excessive force could cause equipment damage.
