Luggage Compartment
To gain access to the luggage compart-
ments, there is a pull-ring connected to the
lock, located at the lower rear corner of the
cab door opening on each side. Pull ring to
unlock the door. The lock has a safety catch
that will hold the door in place, even if the
door is not fully locked. To open door, hold
pull-ring out while pulling the door out.

The door swings out from the bottom on
hinges mounted on the top. To assist in
opening and to hold the door open, there
are two compressed gas cylinders mounted
on each door. The door will swing up by it-
self when pulled out a short distance and
then released. If the light switch is set on
automatic, the light will come on when the
door opens.

Safety equipment and tow hooks are stored
in the luggage compartments. If equipped,
the sleeper heater and air conditioning unit
is located in the passenger side luggage
compartment.
WARNING
Always place heavy objects in the lug-
gage compartment. Sudden stops or
sudden turns could cause personal injury
if heavy objects fall from overhead stor-
age shelves.
