You can adjust the baby unit placement to improve the sound
detection.
Turn on or off the sound activation
The parent unit continuously monitors the sound level in
your baby’s room. When the sound activation mode is on,
the parent unit screen turns on when the baby unit detects a
sound. As long as no sound is detected within 50 seconds, the
parent unit screen is off to save power. When your baby starts
to cry, the sound activation triggers the parent unit screen
automatically turns on.

If you mute the speaker while sound activation is on, then
