Telephone settings
Set tone/pulse
This telephone comes factory set for touch tone dialing. If
you do not have touch-tone dialing service, you need to
change the dialing mode to pulse dialing.
Press OPTIONS repeatedly until the screen displays
SET TONE/PULSE.
Press CALL LIST or CALL LIST to choose TONE
or PULSE.
Press OPTIONS to save your selection and return to idle mode.

If you press and hold CALL LIST or CALL LIST when you are programming,
the digits will scroll through automatically.
SET TONE/PULSE
If you have pulse dial (rotary) service, you can temporarily switch to touch-tone
dialing during a call by pressing (see Temporary tone dialing on page 16).
After you hang up, the telephone automatically returns to pulse dialing mode.
TONE
Set time/date
If you subscribe to caller ID service, the time and date are set automatically with
each incoming call.
To set the time and date manually:
Press OPTIONS repeatedly until the screen displays
SET TIME/DATE.
Press CALL LIST or CALL LIST to select the appropriate number (12
hour format) for the hour. Press DISPLAY DIAL to move on to set
the minute.
When the minute is flashing, use CALL LIST or CALL LIST to scroll
through the list of numbers from 00 to 59 to select the appropriate number
for the minute. Press DISPLAY DIAL to move on to set the month.
When the month is flashing, use CALL LIST or CALL LIST to scroll through
the list of numbers from 1 to 12 to select the appropriate number for the month.
Press DISPLAY DIAL to move on to set the date.
When the date is flashing, use CALL LIST or CALL LIST to scroll through
the list of numbers from 1 to 31 to select the appropriate number for the date.
Press DISPLAY DIAL to return to step 2 above to make any corrections.
Press OPTIONS to save your setting and advance to the next feature setup.
