Network Connections for Scanning
The Copy Server on the product can perform scan-to-network operations only if the system
provides its own connection to the network. This connection would be in addition to the network
connection for the optional Xerox FreeFlow DocuSP Print Server. If two network connections are
not available, there are other options, but with trade-offs.
Option 1 – Two Network Connections
• Customer has two network drops.
• Each device is assigned its own IP
number.
Capabilities of this configuration
• Printing via FreeFlow drivers
• Scan-to-Network from the copier user
interface
• Copying, including Copy & Save (for
reprints)
• Mailbox access from the network
Option 2 – One Network Connection
• Customer has ONE network drop.
• Only the Xerox FreeFlow DocuSP Print
Server is accessible from the network.

Option 3 – One Network Connection
plus a Network Hub
Customer has one network drop.
