ZGMPOverview
ZGMPisZTEGroupManageProtocol.Aclusterisacombinationconsistingofasetof
switchesinaspeciīæcbroadcastdomain.Thissetofswitchesformsauniīæedmanagement
domain,providinganexternalpublicnetworkIPaddressandmanagementinterface,as
wellastheabilitytomanageandaccesseachmemberinthecluster.
ThemanagementswitchwhichisconīæguredwithapublicnetworkIPaddressiscalleda
commandswitch.Otherswitchesserveasmemberswitches.Innormalcases,amember
switchisnotconīæguredwithapublicnetworkIPaddress.Aprivateaddressisallocated
toeachmemberswitchthroughtheclassDHCPfunctionofthecommandswitch.The
commandswitchandmemberswitchesformacluster(privatenetwork).
Ingeneral,thebroadcastdomainwhereaclusterislocatedconsistsofswitchesinthese
roles:Commandswitch,memberswitches,candidateswitchesandindependentswitches.
Oneclusterhasonlyonecommandswitch.Thecommandswitchcanautomaticallycollect
