Clusterisacombinationofagroupofswitchesinaspecicbroad-
castdomain.Thisgroupofswitchesformsauniedmanagement
domainwhichprovidesapublicnetworkIPaddressandaman-
agementinterfacetotheoutsideandprovidesthefunctionsof
managingandaccessingeverymemberinthecluster .
ManagementswitchisconguredwithpublicnetworkIPaddress
asacommandswitchandothermanagedswitchessuchasmem-
berswitches.PublicnetworkIPaddressisnotconguredforthe
memberswitchbutaprivateaddressisassignedtothemember
switchwithsimilarDHCPfunctionofthecommandswitch.Com-
mandswitchandmemberswitchformacluster(privatenetwork).
Itisrecommendedtoisolatethebroadcastdomainofthepublic
networkandthatoftheprivatenetworkonthecommandswitch,
andshieldthedirectaccesstotheprivateaddress.Thecommand
switchprovidesamanagementandmaintenancechanneltothe
outsidetomanagetheclusterinacentralizedanduniedmanner .
