6.1.9 CARRIER
The carrier ID is a requirement introduced by the WBU (world broadcasting union) to add the
operators’ details in to the broadcast stream so the operator can be identified in cases of
unknown carriers causing interference.
By using the up / down arrow keys, highlight CARRIER and press ENTER key.
This screen will be displayed: -

ID: Enter here the operators name, select each character position and using the up / down
arrow keys select the required character, use left / right arrow keys to move along the word.
Enter up to 5 Characters; Use up / down arrow keys to select, press ENTER to confirm or
ESCAPE to cancel selection.
TEL(ephone): Enter here the operators telephone number including country code, select each
character position and using the up / down arrow keys select the required character, use left /
right arrow keys to move along the word.
Enter up to 17 Characters; Use up / down arrow keys to select, press ENTER to confirm or
ESCAPE to cancel selection.
LONG(itude): set the current longitude of the up-link position;
Enter up to 9 Characters; Use up / down arrow keys to select, press ENTER to confirm or
ESCAPE to cancel selection.
LAT(itude): set the current latitude of the up-link position
Enter up to 9 Characters; Use up / down arrow keys to select, press ENTER to confirm or
ESCAPE to cancel selection.
Note future release can take the data from GPS information of an Advent antenna control
system.
PRESS ESCAPE to return up a menu level.
