3. Open the air lter cover (12) and remove the air lter (35). ( Fig. S2)
4. To loosen debris, gently tap the air lter (35) on a hard surface. If the lter is
excessively dirty, replace with a new lter.
5. Wash the lter in liquid detergent and water. Then allow it to thoroughly air
dry. Do not oil the lter.
6. Re-install the air lter (35). Close the air lter cover (12) and secure the fastener.
CAUTION: Never use fuel or low burning paint solvents to clean
the lter (35). A re or explosion could result.
CAUTION: Clean the lter (35) in a solution of household detergent
and warm water. Ensure the lter (35) is dry before re tting

Spark plug
To ensure the engine is operating correctly, the
spark plug (47) must be properly gapped and free
of carbon deposits. Always check the spark plug
cable is rmly tted to the top of the spark plug
(47). The spark plug (47) should be changed after
approximately 25 hours of use, or annually.
CAUTION: If the engine (11) has been
running, the muer (17) will be very hot.
Be careful not to touch the muer (17).
1. Remove the spark plug cover (13). (Fig. T1)
2. Take out the hexagonal socket + axle (39). Insert
the axle into the hole at the end of the socket to
assemble a spark plug spanner. (Fig. T2)
3. Using the assembled spark plug spanner to
remove the spark plug (47) (Fig. T3 & T4), and
clean any deposits from the spark plug (47) with a
rag or damp cloth.
4. Visually inspect the spark plug (47). Discard the
spark plug (47) if there is apparent wear, or if the insulator is cracked or
chipped.
