Difficult start up (02_14)
FLOODED ENGINE
The engine may get flooded if the start-
up procedure is not properly carried out
or there is excess fuel in the inlet ducts.
To clean a flooded engine:
•
Press the starter button «5» for
a few seconds (running the en-
gine with no gear engaged) with
the throttle grip «6» completely
twisted (Pos. A).
COLD START
If the ambient temperature is low (near or
below 0°C), there may be problems with
the first start-up.
In this case:
•
Hold down the starter button
«5» for five seconds and at the
same time slightly twist the
throttle grip «6» to ( Pos. A).
If the engine starts.
•
Release the throttle grip «6».
•
If idle speed is not stable, twist
the throttle grip «6» slightly and
frequently.
NOTE
BEFORE SETTING OFF, LET THE EN-
GINE RUN WITH NO GEAR ENGAGED

MET VERZOPEN MOTOR
Wanneer men de startprocedure niet cor-
rect uitvoert, of wanneer er een exces-
sieve hoeveelheid brandstof aanwezig is
in de aanzuigleiding, zou de motor kun-
nen verzuipen.
Om een verzopen motor te reinigen, han-
delt men als volgt:
•
Druk op de startknop «5» voor
enkele seconden (door de motor
leeg te doen draaien) met het
gashandvat «6» volledig ge-
draaid (Pos. A).
KOUDE START
Wanneer de omgevingstemperatuur laag
is (dichtbij of onder het vriespunt), zou de
eerste start moeilijk kunnen verlopen.
In dit geval handelt men als volgt:
•
Druk voor vijf seconden op de
startknop «5» en draai tegelij-
kertijd gematigd (Pos. A) aan
het gashandvat «6».
Wanneer de motor niet start.
•
Laat het gashandvat «6» los.
•
Wanneer het minimumregime
instabiel is, handelt men op het
gashandvat «6» met kleine en
veelvuldige rotaties.
