Disconnect the negative lead (-)
first and then the positive one
(+).
•
Brush with a metal bristle brush
to remove all signs of corrosion.
•
Remove the battery breather
pipe.
•
Remove the battery from its
housing and put it on a level sur-
face in a cool and dry place.
•
Connect again the positive lead
(+) first and then the negative
one (-).
•
Cover the leads and terminals
with neutral grease or petroleum
jelly.
NOTE
REMOVING THE BATTERY RESETS
THE DIGITAL CLOCK AND THE TRIP
ODOMETER.
•
Maakt men eerst de negatieve
kabel (-) en daarna de positieve
kabel (+) los.
•
Borstelt men met een metalen
borstel om elk spoor van roest te
elimineren.
•
Verwijder het ontluchtingsbuisje
van de accu.
•
Verwijder de accu uit haar
plaats, en plaats haar op een
vlakke ondergrond in een koele
en droge plaats.
•
Verbindt men eerst de positieve
kabel (+) en daarna de negatie-
ve kabel (-).
•
Bedek de terminals en de klem-
men met neutraal vet of vaseli-
ne.

WANNEER DE ACCU WORDT VER-
WIJDERD, WORDEN DE DIGITALE
KLOK EN DE PARTIËLE KILOMETERS
OP NUL GEZET.
Checking the electrolyte level
To check electrolyte level:
•
Lift the fuel tank.
•
Keep the vehicle upright with the
two wheels on the ground.
•
Check that the fluid level is be-
tween the two "MIN" and
"MAX" notches stamped on the
side of the battery.
Controle van het elektrolytpeil
Voor de controle van het peil handelt men
als volgt:

Hef de brandstoftank op.
•
Houd het voertuig in verticale
positie met de twee wielen op de
grond.
•
Controleer of het vloeistofpeil
zich tussen de twee strepen
