Make sure that the battery
earth lead 1 has sufficient dis-
tance (arrow) to the relay car-
rier 2.
Installing center fairing panel

Fuses
Replacing main fuse
ATTENTION
Bypassing defective fuses
Risk of short circuit and fire
Do not bypass defective fuses.
Replace defective fuses with
new fuses.
Turn off ignition.
Park motorcycle, ensuring that
support surface is firm and
level.
Removing center fairing panel

Replace defective fuse 1.
NOTICE
If the fuses blow frequently, have
the electrical system checked by
an authorized specialized work-
shop, preferably an authorized
BMW Motorrad retailer.
