Note the points listed for protec-
tion of the catalytic converter.
Risk of overheating
Riding without the slip-
stream deflectors installed
can cause the engine to over-
heat.
Do not ride the motorcycle un-
less the slipstream deflectors are
installed.
Cooling would be
inadequate if the engine
were allowed to idle for a lengthy
period with the motorcycle at
a standstill: overheating would
result. In extreme cases, the
motorcycle could catch fire.
Do not allow the engine to idle
unnecessarily. Ride away imme-
diately after starting the engine.
Tampering with the
engine control unit
Tampering with motor-
cycle settings (e.g. elec-
tronic engine management unit,
throttle valves, clutch) can cause
damages to the components in
question and lead to failure of
safety-relevant functions. Dam-
age caused in this way is not
covered by the warranty.
Do not tamper with the motor-
cycle in any way that could result
in tuned performance.
