Certain
modes
cannot.be
selected
by
some
of
the
mode
control
keys.

can
be
inserted
and
removed
from
the
Mode
Switch
in
this
position.

1
(Register
1
Mode)
This
mode
is
used
for
normal
sales
transactions.
Any
mode
key
can
be
inserted
and
removed
from
the
Mode
Switch
in
this
position.

REG 2
(Register
2
Mode)
Used
for
special
operations.
Since
switching
to
the
Reg
2
Mode
requires
a
special
key. Such
functions
as
discounts,
credit
sales,
charge
sales,
check
payments,
and
paid
outs
can
be
controlled
by
programming
them
as
prohibited
in
the
Reg 1
Mode
and
allowed
in
the
Reg 2
Mode.

Minus
Mode)
When
the
Mode
Switch
is
in
RF
position,
you
can
access
either
the
Refund
Mode
or
the
Reg
Minus
