Light Control lets you adjust the light being output (light source brightness) by the projector. When
“On” is selected for “Option Settings 1 3 Light Control 3 Light Control” (page 64) on the Setup
Menu (initial default setting), light output can be adjusted to one of seven levels.
Light Control Off Mode (Maximum Brightness)
If you want the projection light to be at maximum brightness, change “Option Settings 1 3 Light
Control 3 Light Control” (page 64) on the Setup Menu to “Off”, and “Light Control Off Mode” (page
60) to “Bright”.
Note
Selecting “Off” for “Light Control” disables light output adjustment and the brightness sensor.
Light Control
To do this: Perform this operation:
Adjust light output 1. While there is no menu or dialog box displayed on the projection screen, press the
[] or [] key.
This displays the current light output level as a value from 1 to 7.
2. Use the [] and [] key to adjust light output.
3. To end the operation, press the [ESC] key.
Have light output adjusted
automatically
1. Press the [MENU] key to display the Setup Menu.
2. Perform the following menu operation: “Option Settings 1”, “Light Control”, “Light
Sensor”.
3. Use the [] and [] keys to change “Light Sensor” to “On”.
4. After the settings are the way you want, press the [MENU] key to exit the Setup
Menu.
