WARNING
•Ifrentingorloaningthevehicle,makesurethedriverisfamiliarwithallcontrolsandoperating
proceduresbeforeallowingthevehicletobedriven.
•DonotshifttheForward/Reversehandlewhilethevehicleismoving.Toavoidinjurytoan
unsuspectingpassengerordamagetothevehicle,alwaysbringthevehicletoafullstopbefore
shiftingtheForward/Reversehandle.
•Releasetheacceleratorpedalandthenpressthebrakepedalrmlyuntilthevehiclestops.Toavoid
unintentionallystartingorrollingthevehicle,settheparkbrake,placetheForward/Reversehandlein
theNEUTRALposition,turnthekeyswitchtotheOFFposition,andremovethekey.
•Donottamperwiththegovernor.Doingsowillvoidthewarranty,aswellasdamagetheengineand
othercomponents,andcouldresultinpropertydamage,personalinjury,ordeathduetounsafespeed.
KEYSWITCH
Thekeyswitchismountedonthedashtotherightofthesteeringcolumn(Figure15).Ithastwopositions,OFFand
ON,whichareclearlylabeled.SeefollowingNOTE.
NOTE:WhenthekeyisturnedtotheOFFposition,themainvehiclesystemsaredisabled.Thekeyswitchmaybe
usedasanemergencystop.
ThekeycanberemovedonlywhenthekeyswitchisintheOFFposition.
