PLUGANDRECEPTACLE
Thechargercord,plug,andreceptaclearewearitemsandshouldbeinspecteddaily.Visuallyinspectthemfor
cracks,looseconnections,andfrayedwiring;theymustbereplacedwhenwornordamaged.Ifchargerplugor
receptacleshowsignsofcorrosionortheplugisdifculttoinsertorremove,checkforwornorbentpins,thenclean
thereceptaclecontactsandplugterminalswithagoodelectricalcontactcleanerorlightcoatingofWD-40
®
brand
spraylubricant.Theplugshouldthenbeinsertedandremovedseveraltimestoensureeaseofinsertion,easeof
removal,andgoodelectricalcontact.
WARNING
•Ifpinsarebent,theplugmustbereplacedimmediately.Theplugisnotserviceable.Donotattemptto
repairtheplugorstraightenbentpins.ContactyourlocalauthorizedClubCardealerordistributor
forrepairs.
•DisconnecttheACcordpriortolubricatingtheplugandreceptacle.
NOTE:IfthewarningtaghasbeendamagedorremovedfromtheDCcord,haveitreplacedimmediately.
CHARGERMOUNTING
Usethemountingholestosecurethecharger(Figure30).Positionthechargersothatishasadequateventilationand
thechargerstatusindicatorpanelisvisible.Thechargercanbemountedinanyorientation(right-sideup,upside
down,etc.)providedithasadequateventilation(Figure31).
Tohelpensureoptimalchargetimes,mountthechargerinanareawhereambienttemperaturesduringcharging
remainbelow104°F(40°C).SeeThermalCutback.
WARNING
•Makesurethechargerissecurelymounted.Donothangthechargerbyitshandle.
•Placeallcordssotheywillnotbesteppedon,trippedover,orotherwisesubjectedtodamageorstress.
