•Avoidsuddenstarts,suddenstops,andtightturnswhentowing.
•Avoidstoppingonahillwhentowing.Ifyoumuststoponahill,avoidsuddenstartsorrolling
backwardsandstoppingsuddenly.Failuretoheedthiswarningcouldcausethevehicletooverturn,
possiblyresultinginseverepersonalinjury.
•Whentowingonatrailer,normalroadspeedofthetowvehicleshouldbereduced.
•Becauseoftheaddedlengthofthetrailer,usecautionwhenmakingturns.
•Removethevehiclewindshieldandsecuretheseatbottombeforetransportingonatrailer.
•Stayclearfromtheareabetweenthetowvehicleandthetowedvehicleortrailer.
Ifthevehiclemustbetransportedoverlongdistancesoronpublichighways,itshouldbetransportedonanapproved
trailerthathastheapprovedloadratingof1200lb(544kg)pervehiclebeingtransported.
NOTE:Atwo-cartrailershouldberatedat2x1200lb(544kg)=2400lb(1088kg).

CheckBatteryWaterLevelsTwoWeeksPriortoStorage
Checkwaterlevelsatleasttwoweekspriortowinterstoragetoensurepropermixingofwaterandelectrolyte.Notethat
ittakesapproximatelyvechargecycleswithaminimumof10amphoursremovedaftereachchargetoproperlymix
thewaterwithelectrolyte.DoNOTwaterbatteriesimmediatelypriortostoragebecausethiswillnotprovidesufcient
chargetimetomixthewaterwiththeelectrolyte.Freezingcanoccurwhenbatteriesarestoredinthiscondition.
1.Checkthewaterlevelsineachbatterycell.Ifwaterisrequired,llthecellstocovertheplates,chargethe
batteries,andthenusedistilledwatertolleachcelltothecorrectlevel.Electrolytelevelshouldbefrom0.5inch
(13mm)aboveplatesto0.25inch(6mm)belowthelevelindicator(Figure23).
